ENOTHE Conference Zagreb, Croatia (26-28 October, 2017)

Since one of the goals of the SOCRE project is dissemination of the ongoing project results, the SOCRE consortium submitted an abstract to present during the ENOTHE conference In Zahreb, Croatia, which was accepted as an oral presentation. Two partners were present at this conference to answer questions and give explanation about the SOCRE project (Artevelde University College Ghent, Belgium & Heimerer College, Pristina, Kosovo). Tutor visit to Perm – Russia

From 19 to 21 of June 2017, the teachers Tiago Príncipe, representing the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and Panu Karhinen from the Metrpolia University of Aplied Sciences Helsinki had the opportunity to visit the city of Perm, as a tutor visit for the SOCRE project. This project is co-funded by European Union Erasmus+ CBHE grant and consist of partners from Finland, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia and Kosovo. Hands on work, Workshop in Helsinki

Second event of the Socre project took place in Helsinki 29.5.-1,6.2017. Workshop in Helsinki moved the project from preparation phase to development phase. In Helsinki work baggage 2 got a good start. In wp 2 study circles in Kosovo and Russia are going to utilize the material from wp 1 for making material for teacher´s handbook. Also work for common understanding and co-creation of the shared frame for social rehabilitation and modern pedagogy continued from the Kick Off event in Kosovo. The social rehabilitation aims at improving social skills and finding opportunities to cope with everyday life. Social change and the current state of elderly people, chronic illnesses and people with disabilities in Kosovo and Russia require continuous training of rehabilitation staff. Indeed, the issue of social rehabilitation in Kosovo has been argued to remain inadequately as well as insufficiently tackled, although as a country which has only recently escaped from a devastating war (in 1999), it has a relatively long list of measures to undertake.
